Own & Maintain
Keep it running: maintenance, roadside help, fuel and parts.
Maintenance basics
- Oil: follow the owner's manual. Many modern cars go 5,000–10,000 miles.
- Tires: check pressure monthly and rotate every 5,000–7,500 miles. Replace them at 2/32" of tread.
- Brakes: have them checked at every tire rotation.
- Battery: test it after 3 years.
- Fluids & filters: coolant, brake fluid, and engine and cabin air filters on schedule.
- Recalls: check your VIN twice a year.
